Next Steps

So you have submitted your resume to start your career with us. What happens next?

1: You successfully submitted an application.
Thank you for applying! We have received your Quick Apply inquiry and a recruiter is reviewing your information. Take a second and watch our Day in the Life video of a laborer – this will give you a good look at our company and that job position!

2: You’ll receive a phone call or text from a Miller Pipeline recruiter.
Be on the lookout for a phone call or a text message from one of our recruiters to discuss your application in more detail. This brief discussion should take no more than 10-20 minutes. If we feel you are a match for Miller Pipeline, we will send your details to a local hiring manager. You may not hear from a recruiter right away, but your application will stay on file for six months.

3: We’ll schedule an in-person interview with a regional hiring manager.
If at this point the recruiter and hiring manager feel you are a good fit for Miller Pipeline, we will invite you to an in-person interview. The hiring manager or recruiter will contact you to schedule a time and date for this 30-minute interview. We will discuss your previous experience, future goals, and why you want to work with us. Make sure you bring questions and if we do not cover them – this is the opportunity to ask!

4: We’ll extend you an offer to join our team!
If the hiring manager thinks this interview was successful, you will be asked to complete a brief safety assessment before receiving a job offer.

Once you accept the position, then the onboarding process begins. You will be asked to fill out a more in-depth application to kick-start a few processes for employment. The offer of employment is contingent on passing your background check, motor vehicle check, drug screen, and physical assessment. This process can take a week or so, depending on location and your availability.

5: You experience your first day.
Once you pass all pre-screenings, the hiring manager will be in touch to discuss your first day. Your first day will be participating in our orientation program where you will learn about our core values, Total Rewards program, why safety is personal to us, how to be successful at your position, along with the other standard HR information too (benefits, policies, etc.). Good luck!
